    Hi all,
Is there any digital volt meter circuit which doesn't need external power supply and c programming?. I mean all i need to buy the parts and solder it into a board and connect with my 12v battery. I prefer 3 digit circuit.

There are some which are designed for something like 7 to 24V and which take power from the source being measured.

But these are built up units. I'm not sure where you'd find a circuit diagram, and these days, much less on e that doesn't use a microcontroller.

    Hi steve,
Thanks for the reply. What about old digital multimeters? Can i turn an old multimeter to a DVM ?, is it possible ?.

Sure why not... Just set it to volts and there you go...

    But they require batteries.

That's the problem. What if i connect voltage from the source to be measured?.
