Hello there,

I want to drive an aircraft indicator (radar altitude) which is out of
an 26VAC/400Hz system. The needle is moved by a synchro in the
indicator. A quick internet search revealed that there are units that
can convert a digital input to the corresponding angle. Can anybody
recommend a unit to perform this task?

Thanks,
Philipp

There are lots of them out there, but they're fairly pricy. Check out ILC
Data Device Corporation, Natel, Transmagnetics to name a few. I used to
sell digital to synchro converter upgrades for airline flight simulators,
and eventually designed my own to get the per unit cost down.
