    Hi all.

Can anyone give me an idea on a sensor I can use to detect the presence of cigarette smoke? My partner comes into my mancave and lights up in the winter. I have no issues with that. I have an exhaust fan I want to fire up when she is smoking and once the air has cleared itself, shut down.

    Suggestions people?

    Here you go

    http://www.vproducts.com/hardwired.htm

I was unable to find a price, but they have the hardwired option. Just wire the signal to your exhaust fan controller rather than the alarm buzzer / strobe light. Whether you can get it to automatically shut off, I'm not sure, it may require manual intervention, but you should be able to control that with a logic board of some kind.
