I have a question but first would like to introduce myself. This my first post here. I'm located in the USA in Oak Ridge Tennessee. I've been into electronics since I was a kid, I work in the nuclear industry and my degree is in physics. Its always nice to be around people who speak the language of electronics.

My question is, what is a good electronics design rate to charge customers. I have a few people wanting me to do some work on a contract basis and I dont want to run them off because of price. I charge $55.00 an hour to service laboratory equipment around here but that is with a company and I get benifits. I could probably be on my own before to long if I want. What would be a good rate to do electronics designer? This includes mainly prototyping PCB's wiring, circuit testing, circuit assymbly.
