  1. Just got one of these in apparently unused condition that I need to
    test.
No docs, no wall wart, flat nicad.

    (1) What is the wall wart voltage, current and polarity?

    (2) Is the unit supposed to say something when it is turned on?

    (3) What are the Telco to Serial pinouts? Is the baud rate 9600?

    (4) Should this work just sending it ASCII serial text?

    (5) What are the change timbre and similar commands?

  2. Hi Don,
Don't have any docs nearby, as I have never owned one of these puppie (I
couldn't afford one! They were priced in the $1K range!) I can let you
know that the standard baud rate was 9600, and it should say a little
something when turned on, and should respond to straight serial ASCII
right out of the box. For help in the programming and interfacing, you
could ping the guys at Freedom Scientific. Their JAWS software
definitely had to talk to them.
