    I've not seen any discussion on how this UWB implementation might affect
    other users of the spectrum..

    Broadband over power lines was making big noise recently, but now the big
    noise seems to be the realization that it makes the HF-VHF spectrum
    unusable, which causes big problems for many agencies..

    Personally, I think that if a GPS reciever/mobile phone/commercial broadcast
    reciever/802.11*/bluetooth device is adversely affected by a UWB
    transmitter 15cm away, then work needs to be done on shaping the spectrum,
    reducing the power, or scrapping the concept.
