I have an HP monitor, FCC id A3lckb722 and model D2837 that is
completely dead. Will not power up. Fuses and diodes check good. Any
suggestions on what to do next?

Thanks

Test for shorted HOT,also anything shorted in the primary side of the power
supply,if there fine start testing startup resistors and caps

1-take $150,
2-go down to local computer store,
3-buy new one
4-throw the old one in the green bin.
(seriously, they are that cheap that replacment is easier than repair -
tele's are bit more repairable (51cm up) But PC monitors, there just
replacment jobs - good oportunity to look in to a nice 15" (17"equiv) LCD
display, they are only about $450 - $500)

Hi,

It is a Samsung one.
Now, AC filter capacitor may hold charge of 300V even when monitor is off!
Make sure you discharge it before doing anything.

Most likely power supply regulator is gone. Do you get power to AC filter
capacitor?
Try measuring regulator and see if it is shorted. Check output diodes, check
HOT.
