Hello,

Today I decided to remove some of the brown glue to see if that would help.
I turned on the power... and the green power led was still blinking. Maybe
it burned a bit brighter or maybe not.

I took a look at some of the receivers... and of the reviews... I have
little faith in new devices... they seem to run quite hot as well... and
have no proper fan-cooling. Also there connections do not seem to make much
sense. I just can't make sense of it.

Therefore I have the following idea:

The dude in the electronics shop said he did "self-build" as well.

I am going to call him again, to ask if he also "does wood" :)

Then maybe he can make a special compartment for the electronics... put a
fan on it... give it a nice paint job.

And then I have my custom-properly-cooled receiver.

Only thing he has to do is fix it.

Hopefully he can...

I think this might be the best course of action for now.

I will also ask him to make report in case of a lawsuit to try and get some
of the costs back.

That will follow after the repair.

I also saved some pieces of the glue. Little ones.

However little green paint of the circuit board broke off... I am not sure
if that's a problem... It could be a problem... if there was some kind of
connection there... but maybe there wasn't me not sure.

So now I am going to call the dude to see if he can make his own wood box
with fans.

I'll go for one in the front and one in the back... in and out...

It seems like crazy but when I look at www.creativelabs.com it seems they
only sell junk.

No 7.1 speaker set available there ?!?

So no option of exchanging the current one with a new one in case of a
lawsuit or so....

Also my first lawsuit will probably be against CREATIVELABS to force them to
give schematics for the electronics so my repairman can do a decent repair
job ;)

Should be cheap law suit LIKE 5 bucks ! ;)

Now I go call repair dude ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.
