DAT/DDS Eats tapes

Since a DAT/DDS is somewhat similar to a VCR, only smaller, the problem
is that my DAT/DDS eats tapes.

It's a Sony DDS2 SCSI2, I tried all the cleanings like a VCR, but it
still has some problem with loading, then ejects.

I have an almost new Seagate DAT/DDS2 with some problem with loading,
then ejects.

You are using the wrong tapes? A DDS2 drive will not like a DDS3 tape
and will exhibit this behaviour if you try to load one.

No, I tried DDS1/DDS2 60/90/120M tapes, and it even ate the cleaning
tapes.
Sometimes in VCR's this may be a power supply disease, but there is no
to switch a DAT/DDS power supply module.

Since my electronics really sux, it may take awhile to find the problem
from post with the same problem in VCRs

ThanX

It's not clear to me exactly what your symptoms are. Does the drive
EAT (as in chew up and destroy) any tape you put in it? Or does it
simply reject them all?
