I've never owned a microwave, let alone taken one apartIn that movie they only extend the TWO wires running to the heater (with
wires that are much too thin, the heater is very low voltage high current),
and they do not connect a THIRD wire for the anode (normally that is
connected though the metal case of the microwave oven).
This is a hoax about a hoax. This setup will NOT produce microwaves.

How _did_ they do it? I'm thinking either a microwave maggy & feedhorn
under the table, or a focused heat lamp above.
