I had studied that the Darlington pair provides high current gain..practtically in which situation we are going for Darlington pair structure?

When you want high current gain and you are not concerned about the drawbacks of Darlington pairs.

You might consider a mosfet as an alternative if you have a reasonable voltage swing.
