What is the 1st thing that could have gone wrong or blown inside my transformer. My brother connected a load on my ac to dc power supply that was to heavy for it, now my leds are very dim. The transformer doesn't put out its full supply anymore. Is it repairable?

This brother of mine said he tested HIDs on my supply that is rated only at 10A.he conected it,it only came on for 1sec and boom went of.since that happened whatever is connected to the supply is very dim and PS has a soft buzzing noise when I connect my leds to it (what the supply normally carries)

Look at that !!! i have exactly the same PSU and yes also my psu is dead.

you could try checking the two output current booster transistors located on the heatsinc (right side of the lastpicture) also the FET on the other side on the heatsincv(top side of the last picture) might be dead. Theese are the most comon problems.

So its in most cases the transistors,so the load was too heavy for the transistors so it burned.what is FET?
