current multipliers

what components or devices that can multiply your current in a circuit? eg: 5A to 10A.

What is your application?
DC or AC?
Which voltages are involved?

For AC use a transformer.
For DC use a step up regulator.

Note: If you double the current the voltage will be less than 1/2 of the original voltage since you can convert the input power (Iin*Vin) to output power (Iout*Vout) only with an efficiency <1.

Otherwise you will need an amplifier which draws power from an additional power supply.
