This makes me laugh everywhere I see it.
If you need to realise the energy holding matter together, then prising
elementary particles apart is one way. the snag is of course that in order
to do this you need energy to start with. Its a bit like a toggle switch,
you only get the energy when you have passed that critical point, then it
kind of runs away with you, erm, like it goes bang wideband style... So you
then need more energy to retain the energy so you can do things with it, but
that there energy you is using often is greater than the energy produced. I
just don't see it ever working, cold or hot unless you can somehow harness
the explosion directly. Makes a bit of a mess though.. grin.

What specifically are you creating, how is sci.physics.fusion NOT that
group (per the sci.physics.fusion charter... ) and is this an official
request for votes?
As hot fusion people have been the primary force trying to shut down
the cold fusion research you might want to reconsider arguments that
boil down to unifying the atheism and religion discussion.
On a moar scientific note: Cold fusion is LENR but not all LENR is
fusion.
Meanwhile in pop culture: Hot fusion researchers claim to be building
a perpetual motion device, they consumed the mother load in funds not
doing so. Billions of Euros, one after the other, completely free from
critical thinking.
The association with this hot fusion pseudoscience is insulting. Not a
single microwatt/nanosecond worth of useful energy was produced. It
is like looking to Einsteinians to salve the world problems.
not going to happen.
