I'm looking to make a portable heating pack with the heating pack above. I'm wondering what the best way to power that would be. I dont particularly care if it runs through batteries, I'm just wondering if i can run it off batteries and how. :X

    Thanks for your time.

Four NiMh cells in series? The pad voltage isn't critical.

Power Bank. Very high capacity, rechargeable, and a mass market item.

edited to add: And the right voltage.

Yes, 4 nimh D cells (about 10,000 mAhr), or 3 D cells alkaline. 4.5 V is close. D cell alkaline are capable of 10,000 mAhr. How many heaters did you plan to run?

600ma at 5v, pretty good for a warmer...

4 x 1.2nimh cells should do the job nicely.. for 1 warmer
