Hi, there,

I am trying out the demo version of Protel DXP and was wondering if anyone
can give me step by step instructions on how to create new components in
Protel DXP. Here is the situation.

the library in Protel DXP comes with MJE15030/MJE15031, with both spice
model and foot print. I would like to add new parts of the same foot print
(like MJE15032/33). I already have the spice model but I was wondering how I
can copy all information from MJE15030/15031 into a new library (MyLib) and
then replace the 15030/31 spice models with those for 15032/33.

I tried the online manual and it isn't hugely helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kenneth, read the "Creating Components" from the protel web at

Thanks, Teby. I now can create an integrated library, add to it schematics
and footprints, and compile it. However, I am still unable to add spice
models to it. The example in the protel manual you had pointed out is for a
"model" statement, but subcircuit.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
