Just need some pointers - been a while and I have an idea about how to
do this but want to see if there are any ideas.

I have two PC's on a KVM switch - one monitor. So right now I want to
have one set of speakers for both machines and while I am at it a
headphone jack. I want to mount all of this to the built in desk
wooden desk I created in my office.

So I am thinking some kind of A,B,C switch (PC, PC, headphones) and a
    jack.

I solder and create my own stuff - right now I am working on the
Enigma-e kit (create your own WWII Enigma machine in electronic form
with serial cable) from Bletchley Park in the UK -

Any design ideas welcome - thanks very much in advance.

Since your PCs are low noise sources you can just connect both
together, putting each line thru a resistor first. No need for
    switching.
