Hi,

Anyone use CPC for their supplies here in the UK? I've found lately
they seem to be "awaiting delivery" for just about everything I need.
I just wondered if it was me or has anyone else noticed it?

Not usually a problem. But I do wish they would improve their packaging.

Rapid Electronics don't stock such a large range, but what they do have
in their catalogue is generally available. RS and Farnell tell you if
stuff is in stock on their web site, which is useful.

....and not charge for postage! I prefer Farnell. Free next day shipping
(minimum order is £10). I think CPC is a division of Farnell anyway. But
there are huge price differences in certain parts (CPC is usually cheaper).
I remember buying some power BJTs from CPC at 1/4 of the Farnell price.

Thanks, Leon. BTW, do you have a URL for Rapid Electronics? And since
you're involved in electronics and live in Hastings, do you happen to
know G4BCO (Brian)?

CPC went through a phase of this about six years ago, we used to call
them Can't Post Components. Be thankful it's not Maplin, I gave up on
them completely a year ago because everything I wanted was
'discontinued' even in the catalogue period.
