Correct Formula For Bypass & Coupling Capacitors

    Hi:

    Can someone advise which formula to use for computing the value of bypass and coupling capacitors
    for amplifiers. Some sources say that a 0.1 factor should be used as shown below while other sources
    do not use the 0.1 factor.

    C = 1 / (2 * π * f1 * Zin * 0.1)
    C = 1 / (2 * π * f1 * RE * 0.1)
    C = 1 / (2 * π * f1 * RL * 0.1)

    Without knowing where in the circuit these capacitors sit and what the other parameters are, it is next to impossible to judge the equations. Please supply a schematic and the relevant parameters.
