Does anybody know of a pdf to Gerber converter?

I found a way to easily make Expresspcb outputs into a usable pdf file,
but the next step is pdf to Gerber ...

Thanks!

well isn't the whole point of ExpressPCB that you CAN'T make a PCB except by
going back to the CAD company... so I would have to doubt that the PDF would
be good enough to make a PCB from... either that or the have those pesky
security bits set that stop it getting translated.

You might be better seeing if you can find a HPGL printer driver and print
to a file.... HPGL used to be the plotter of choice for all PCB's

Actually, outputting to a postscript print file, and then editing that
to change the background color to white, and deleting the tic marks, is
quite easy, then converting it to a pdf and flopping it horizontally, is
all easy and does pretty high-res printouts - certainly to .010 lines or
under with no problems.

Being able to convert that pdf to a gerber file would be good too. I use
Expresspcb for some boards, and am happy with their service, but would
be nice to have options for the final manufacturing.

For whatever its worth, I find their manual layout software much easier
to use than anybody else's.

Thx,... Dave
