    Hello!
Where can i get conductive folie or tape which has a resistance of at least 500ohm per meter? I want to build something like a potentiometer, just over a long distance, I need it to position a moving part for a project of mine.

Any Ideas? Anything similar i could use?

Applications such as this usually employ rotary or linear encoders.

Thank you, but I would rather solve the problem with the mentioned tape or folie.

The first thing that came to mind was reflective mylar film. Can be found at garden supply shops. I'm not sure if you can obtain 500 Ohms per meter, it's pretty conductive. Maybe by playing with width.
