Composite sync - separate out horizontal and vertical sync?

I need to separate out the vertical and horizontal sync signals from a
composite sync output, what's the easiest way to do this? I assume
that there is a simple circuit which would do the job?

Thanks, but doesn't the LM1881 just separate the sync signal from the
video in a composite feed? What I need to do is split off the
horizontal and vertical syncs from a signal that is composite sync
only.
