I have a Battery charger that has faulty components and I need a comparison as the supplier I use dose not have the items that I posted in the original post. The components in question are faulty.The supplier will not give me a subistute unless I nomate the component I require.

Ah, I see now. You want an alternative part to the ones you have listed. (You don't want us to compare an op amp and a transistor).
The first issue is that it is difficult to specify a replacement part unless it is the same part with a different part number. There will be some differences in specs and these differences may be critical for the circuit's operation.
That said, it's pretty rare for a part to be so critical in something like a battery charger (or indeed anything) that a close match won't work.
OK, a BD139 is a very easily sourced component. As long as there's no voltages exceeding 50V in the charger, then a BD137 would be OK
The KA358 is likewise pretty common.
Who is your supplier? Sounds like Radio Shack or something.
Where are you. Perhaps we can suggest someone who has these parts and is relatively local to you?

the KA358 is just an LM358 by a different manufacturer
why dont you go to Jaycar in Newcastle ?

BD139 is $1.00 and a LM358 is $1.95
