Combining a active solar heat store and cistern

I’m wondering about combining an active solar heat store and cistern,
since both the solar heat store and cistern basically hold water, I’m
wondering if what issues there would be in combining them???

It seems like I would need an isolated hydronic heating loop, but does
anyone see issues other than that???

The property I’m currently looking at has a 1600ft2 roof, collecting
~1000 gallons per inch of rainfall and my location averages about 16
inches per year. The rainfall for the prime heating months are pretty
low, so I’m thinking I could halt rain collection during those months
so the cold rain water does not effect the heat store.

Even just collecting water during the 7 warmest and rainiest months,
the numbers (below) suggest I could still collect 89% of my water
needs.

Thanks for the feedback,

Curbie
