Hello All,

I was wondering if any one on this news group could help me out with a
problem.

I have a Panasonic (I think called National in some countries) TV model
TX-29AD2DP, which was on whilst there was a power cut. After the power came
back on the tv didn't show the correct colors for example blue shows up as a
bit blue but more green.

Does anyone have any ideas what the fault could be and how to fix it?

Sounds to me like the tube needs degaussing, as TV's have a built in
degaussing coil and circuitry to perform this function, either the
circuit is faulty, or you may only need to disconnect the power
"remove power lead from wall socket" leave it that way for 10 minutes,
reconnect it and power it up again. If the degaussing circuit is
functioning it should automatically degauss and colours will return to
normal else the problem could be the PTC device that performs the task
of applying AC to the degaussing coil which surrounds the tube inside
the cabinet near the viewing portion of the tube.
