    I want to experiment making rf oscillators with the idea of building a very simple 27MHz transmitter with a range of 5m.

    I've been trying to source inductors and found plenty of kits on ebay. They are supplied as either :

    ColorCode Wheel Inductor Loop ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120Pcs-1...732293?hash=item41b06bd985:g:g0MAAOSwHoFXq~YC)

    or DIP Color Wheel Inductor Loop Inductance ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230Pcs-2...670088?hash=item23b7647788:g:yRIAAOSwpZNce7T0
    )

    Is there a difference between these packs ?
    What is meant by DIP and Color Wheel?
    Will these be any good for experimenting with RF upto 27Mhz?

    Thanks for any help.

    Garry
