Butane for lighters works in a pinch, in low energy circuits, in a
fume hood, with goggles and all the other precautions you'd take with
a flammable gas.. Its best to invert the container and spray the
liquid out... Makes a nice pseudo liquid nitrogen substitute.
And I still have working eyes and 10 fingers... Butane as a
cryogen was one of my favorite toys when I was a teen. Yes, I took
precautions...
Liquid co2 from a tank for pop machines is also a option but possibly
would create static,, However one small tank would be a lifetime
supply.
If you have won the lottery, there is Argon in a Joule Thompson
cooler, which is just coiled capillary tubing...
