CMOS sensor stops aquring images..

hi,
im having a strange problem with the CMOS image sensor ( KAC-9630 ) im
using. i've changed the operating mode from snap shot mode to video
mode through i2c interface. in this mode it is supposed to continuously

acquire images. however it stops acquiring images if the sensor happen
to be in light. when i cover it ( make it dark) it works properly.

the same happens in default power up mode (snapshot mode), only if i
change the video gain to some higher value. default value is 1.1. in
this case it stops acquiring one and only frame which should be
acquired in this mode. however with the default gain value, it works
perfectly even under heavy light.

im operating it under the normal recommended conditions.

all the configurations are done using i2c interface.

If any one can guess the problem, Please let me know.

Thank you
CMOS

I haven't used that particular image sensor before, but it sounds like a
problem with the sensor. My *guess* is that setting the gain register
interferes with another setting and the image sensor hardware doesn't like
it. Make sure auto adjust / auto gain control / auto white balance or any
other relevant register is off. Are you only sending the one i2c command in
each instance?
