I am unable to get a strong output clock signal from a Pericom PI6C4511 clock multiplier chip. The test setup is: 10 MHz square wave (0 to 3.3 volts) on pin 1; 3.3 V on pin 2; gnd on pin 3; gnd on pin 4; 3.3 V on pin 6; 3.3 V on pin 7; no connection on pin 8.

I am looking at the output of pin 5 on a scope (high impedance), and only seeing a very small signal (though this signal does appear to be at the right frequency). Ultimately, I want to send the output of pin 5 to a DDS chip (AD9951), which has an input impedance of 1.5k (and is biased to 1.35 V).

Do I need some special termination for the output of the clock multiplier (pin 5)? Or is there something else wrong?

Thanks!
