Hi
Can someone tell me if this will run a 4 wire stepper motor. The circuit board on my telescope drive motor packed up the other night, the motor is ok. Finances wont allow me to buy a replacement, I have all the parts to make this circuit. So I put this together (on paper). To the left of the battery is a 555 driving 4 LED's in sequence, frequency controlled by the pot therefore the speed of the motor To the right are 2 H-bridge. L1 and L2 representing the motor. My small bread board wont accommodate this circuit, I am waiting for a large board to arrive but cant wait so I am asking if this works. I dont do much in the way of electronics so if the diagrams not very well set out or the terminology is poor please excuse me.

Thanks for looking

I'm sorry to say but that circuit won't work at all. Both the H-bridges and the concept of driving them (to suit a stepper motor) is wrong. Here is a working example.
You can use a 555 to provide clock pulses for that circuit if you like.
