i am planning to make this cicuit..
    http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/science/006/index.html

it requires LF351 opamp model which is not available here..will using any other model serve the purpose?? wat about it being low noise???

also enlighten regarding construction of the probe..the 1mH inductor and capacitor in resonance??

I don't see that circuit placing very high demands on the op-amp. Just try to replace it with anything you can find. It'll work (until proven otherwise).
Where did you get the resonance notion? Surely they are in resonance at 15915Hz put the purpose of the capacitor is only to insulate the inductor from the input offset voltage of the op-amp. The inductor must of course be a rod type, not a pot-core or a toroid.

ohkk..but how can an inductor detect electromagnetic signal without resonance?

is it possible to manually make a 1mH rod type inductor probe by just winding insulated wire over any core??
our main purpose of reconstructing this circuit is to detect power lines..will this serve the purpose??

1: A tape deck head is a coil. A harddisk head is a coil. A vinyl record pickup is a coil in a magnetic field. A microphone is a coil in a magnetic field.
None of these involve, implement, or wants any resonance. Resonance is only used if you want to enhance a single frequency.

    2: Yes & yes.
