christmas tree 16-function crazy

I need to switch 16 function tree lighting to steady lighting in an attempt to fix my lighting problem, which is that the function changes on its own. The tree came with two boxes. Only one of them which controls the middle of the tree is not working. I need help.

That is definitely insufficient information for us to help. Do you have schematics? A concrete type or model could be useful.
Since the lights seem to be new : why worry with modifications? It is still time enough to make use of your warranty and exchange the defect lights for new ones.
