I have a touch lamp I'm trying to fix. Normally the Triac has gone, but in
this case it appears to be an 8 pin IC labelled as follows:>

HI-417P-A
51-07-6388
9146

Can anybody tell me what it is?

Prolly an IC mas manufactured for one particular chinese company. Buy
a new lamp.
