Charging a 0.8AH 12 V battery

    I wish to float charge the above battery every night. I was told that i could float charge it using a power supply and a 100 ohm resistor?

    Any ideas?

    Actually that would be a trickle charger.

    Thank you, if I used a power supply most available are 12v or 15v. If I used a 15 what Zener diode could I used (or something else?) to reduce to 13.4v to charge the battery. Must be able to supply 250ma

    The 12V supply does you no good at all. It cannot push current through a 12V battery.

    The 15V supply might work. What is the battery chemistry? The purpose of the resistor (which might or might not be 100 Ohms) is to limit the current going to the battery. That has to be calculated based on the type and capacity of the battery,
