Same in USA, Lamps Plus and many others, but they are not cheap, figure
    over $12.

  4. I don't know if they're still available in retail stores, but I have a
3-way version of GE's 2D CFL. It is physically much larger than a
spiral or "mini-twist" bulb, so it may not fit all table lamps, but at
39 watts it produces a great amount of light (more than 150 watt
incandescent) and the quality of the light is exceptionally good. I
happen to like this product a lot.

Philips also offers a dimmable and 3-way version of their Marathon
    CFL.

Five of the six Marathons I bought back in 1997 are still working and
have now logged over 15,000 hours each (the sixth one, sadly, was
dropped). Needless to say, I've been extremely pleased with their
    performance as well.

    Cheers,
    Paul
