CD Rom power supply

Can you connect the CD Rom drive with 9V or 19V power adapter. I am using the female SMPS connecting cable in the power port.The CD ROM power port states 5V..ground ..12V....

The connecting cable has 6 wire...

Which one should i use the , overall power required is 17 V ? Can i connect the 19V directly ? and which wire should be connected.

Please assist....

you need separate 5V and 12V supplies as stated

NOT 17V ... NOT 19V nor any other variation in voltage
