CCt to converter 24Vdc signals to 12Vdc signals

  1. Hi All,

    I'd like to convert LOGIC (0,1) 24Vdc signals, <100mA, < 2kHz to 12Vdc
    signals. Low power consumtion is not required. 24V and 12V sources

    What can you suggest.

    I was thinking the following primative ideas

    a) Series resistor with 12V Zener shunt

    24V -- series resistor in to base of PNP transistor and open collector
    with resistor pull down

    Depends what the signals are driving at 12V, where the 12V logic threshold

    c) Series resistor into 4000 series CMOS gate.

    d) R plus R resistor divider

    e) like b) but use an NPN.

    Goes on and on until you define what's being switched at 12V, no?
