My son is doing a project on carbon monoxide detectors and part of the
presentation entails how they work and the theory behind them. From
my understanding the electronic type use a solid state sensor while
the battery operated uses a passive sensor that reacts to prolonged
exposure to CO. Any information you can give would be much
appreciated. Thank you,

Lenny

I did a fast check of a few sites. These have some information. The CO2
measuring device is fairly complex, but you can start by doing some
searching and reading.
