Car amplifier and capacitor problem

I have a 1200 watt amp with a capacitor hooked up to 2 12" MTX
Subwoofers. I've had them hooked up good the past couple weeks and
everything was sounding fine. Yesterday I noticed my ground wire
running from my amp was loose, so I went to quickly tighten it down,
while the radio was still on. When I was tightening it, it sparked,
and all power to the capacitor and amp went off. I checked both radio
fuses in my car, the fuses in the amp, and the fuse on my power wire,
and al of them look fine. Anyone know what happened?? Any help would
    be appreciated.

You may have sent voltage spikes into the control components of your amp.

Is there any way it can be fixed or do I need to get a new amp all
    together?

You'll have to take it to the shop, or get
under the cover. We can't diagnose it
remotely. Is there an internal fuse that
    may have blown?

I once fixed a high-power auto amp someone
had thrown out; they had miswired it, but
all that fried was a small section of track
inside. A bit of wire and solder, and I had
    a nice-sounding amp.

Hope that's all it takes for yours.

    Probably blown the output transistors.

So sorry, however, I won't miss ANY car that needs 1200 watts of audio
    amplifier.
