    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I have a 240 v Ac capacitor. Written on the Capacitor is 470 n x 2 what does the n x 2 mean.
    I have attached photoes

    X2 is a class of "Across the Line Safety Capacitors"'used for reducing RFI/EMI.

    The normal operation voltage is 250V AC RMS ,
    but they can withstand high voltage( up to 2500V impulses )and are actually tested to that.
    And they are "anti-flammable" as well.

    I have tried to obtain one where I live but they can't help me.

    Yes 470nF .
    You can buy them on Ebay

    Probably,There is an "X" on it but I can't see the "2" clearly.
