Hi all,
I've implemented the following circuit successfully controlling a 12v lamp. I'd just like to improve my understanding though.
This circuit (from MOC 3020 AN) is based on 240V AC but it works perfectly with my 12V AC supply.
1 - what would the voltage values of the 2 capacitors need to be if it was using 240V and how is this calculated?
2 - what would the watt rating of the resistors need to be and why?
3 - would the current draw of the load make a difference to those calculations?
Thanks in advance.
