    Folks,

    Wonder if you can help.
    -
I am struggling to determine the value/voltage of this capacitor.
    -
Physically, it has 22.5mm leg separation.
    -
Any info would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks, Steve

Are you 100% its a cap?? Maybe a thick film resistor??

    Rob,

    Thanks for your response.

It sits in parallel with a 680K resistor, in the mains feed to a relay control board, for a negative head pump that feeds my loft..
    -
It is labelled "C1" on the PCB position.
    -
I think "J" may be something to do with tolerance, but all permutations of the other numbers don't seem to match any "standard" cap values/voltages.

Is this the faulty part?? If not you could run some tests to determin its capacitance. However be sure to "discharge" the capacitor using an insulated screwdrive as it may still hold charge.

Other than that its a tricky one as a preliminary search of the numbers offers little from google. it seems to large to be a smoothing capactitor. what is the voltage of the unit??

    seek and you shall find!!

    Rob,

    Peeled back label....275V 330nF.
