Can't identify piece of equipment

    We found this in a storage room at work. Nobody has any idea where it came from or what it is. Any ideas? If need be I can post pictures of the circuit boards. It appears to have been built in 1984.

    RS232 data logger for send/receive and record on tape.
    25pin D was the standard COM port back then, before the current 9 pin.
