Hi

Please could someone help me.

I have a canon E-77 Camcorder, and i believe the CCD gone but i wanted
to make a final sure. The camcorder playback is fine, but it doesn't
record, it don't even display a picture. The picture both from the
viewfinder and linking with the Tv has lots of red/blue/green sripts
down the page. When the camcorder is moved up into a little bit of
light, a little bit flears at the top.

I have heard that there could be a problem with the Video Board

Could this be fixed ?

Thankyou very much for any help

Mike

Wow, an E77 is an oldie right? A late 80s model? If so I haven't
seen one of those in years. They are going to have bad capacitors on
the video pcb. It could possibly be repaired but it will cost you
some money to pay to have it done. It will take a lot of time and
patience to repair it on your own. As old as it is, it could likely
have had the caps leak and damaged the pcb.
