I am trying to find out who makes those inexpensive things that result
in (rather) slow and smooth (radial, as much as I have seen) movement.
Such as: I have a calculator that was a bank freebee. When you pull
down a tap a cover swings smoothly away from the digital display and
around the back to become a support so that it rests at an angle.
Also: My daughter (age 12) bought a make-up thing where when you
activate it, a the drawer slides smoothly out, using some plastic
gears.
Note this is obviously inexpensive stuff, being on a freebee
calculator and a kid's make-up kit.
I have a possible application for this kind of thing and I would love
to contact someone who makes such things, if I knew who to call.
Anyone out there know?
