I got a card from ebay recently for apple II computer. Although seller
claimed it is a Ethernet card for networking, i have no information
about the card. So I am trying to go by the components to understand
the functionality of the card. But i am stuck with a custom made IC.
It would be great if someone can comment on it or have a datasheet.

Made in the 36th week of 1989; looks like a "house number" part for
Innovations.
It is possible that it was made by National, either for them or it was
a (then) standard National part that was re-branded.
A possible clue is the fact of that RCA connector right at the end of
the IC.
Some info can be had by removing the part from the PCB and looking at
the printing on the bottom.
More info can be had by (very carefully) milling out the epoxy at the
top, shor of the chip, and then chemically removing the rest; use of
*DRY* red fuming Nitric acid (*NOT* IRFNA!!), a hot plate, and *DRY*
acetone as a wash - with liberal use of an approved fume hood.
Gots to know the hazards and be c a r e f u l!
