Can a transformer have only ONE input on the primary side?

This sounds crazy to me but my subwoofer transformer seems to have only one input to the power transformer on the primary side. The other leg of 120 volts appears to end at the power cord socket. Am I missing something?

Yeah, take a closer look.

The transformer input needs at least two inputs. Hot and Neutral, or Hot and Hot depending on wiring.
If there is only 1 wire into the transformer primary then something broke. You need current to flow through the transformer, and you need more than one input wire to accomplish that.
