Caddx Smoke detectors

I just replaced my old Honeywell alarm system with a new Caddx NX 8E
system. I'm wondering whether my existing smoke detector would be
compatible with the new Caddx alarm panel. The smoke detector runs on
12 volts DC and draws 125 mA. It has normally open contacts. Off hand
I can't see why it would not be compatible but I notice the manual
gives very specific models that are compatible. Any
comments/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Depending on how old the smoke detectors are and
what type, it is recommended by NFPA that they be replaced
when they are ten years old.

almost any 4 wire smoke will work. I believe you might be seeing the
list for the 2 wire smokes that are more particular about which
systems they work with. I second the suggestion to make sure it is in
good condition and not too old.
