Anyone know what the difference is between the older NX-1308 and the
newer NX-1308E keypad? The 'E' is for enhanced, I am told. Wonder
what was added or enhanced?

The "E" cost more and are for the extended zones.
I'd have to go get a book

It will work with the NX-8E And all other NX Panels.

NX-8E's require that all buss devices must be (E) version..

Actually, from a DIYer, I believe the primary difference is in the
zone address capabilities. Some non-E items, such as a 216 zone
expander will work in an "e" system, if you don't try to address it
out of it's designed zone limits. Some of you pros can correct me if
I'm wrong.
