Fire Marshal is giving me fits about my home made floor plans. I would
appreciate any advice given. I did a search and saw Turbo CAD
mentioned here several times, I am looking into that. If you have
wisdom on Turbo CAD or any other I would appreciate it. Thanks, -Rick

We've been *major* TurboCAD proponents since we got the first version 4
disk... Upgraded three times and now have Version 7. I don't forsee the
need to do any more of the fancy renderings for the fire safety plans we do
so I don't think we'll be goin' to Version 8 or 9. It's an excellent
program. Very easy to use and learn on... Version 7 has excellent
interactive tutorials (my son decided to do some of his computer drafting
for a course he's taking at school using our TurboCAD program)... Neat
thing is you can open and edit any of the other poplular drafting file
formats and save it as either a TurboCAD drawing or as the original... It
integrates seamlessly... We use an HP 1120C Deskjet to print the drawings
on 11 x 17 sheets... The customers love 'em (particularly the seniors and
those who have a hard time reading the print normally found on exit
plans)...

I agree with Frank, TurboCAD is cheap, and easy to use, and will open
AutoCAD drawings, and is 3 times easier to learn than AutoCAD, and the rest.
I've been using it for more than 10 years. Good luck.
